Saint Mary is a 2002 Iranian film depicting the life of Mary (SA) mother of Jesus Christ (AS) based on the Holy Quran and Islamic tradition.
According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, it was the first of 13 Iranian films to be aired on the television network on the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory.
The films are broadcast as part of the "Iranian Cinema Decade” program, which will run until February 14, it said.
Broadcasting 13 documentaries featuring Iran’s history and tourism attractions will also be part of the program.
The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
Each year, on the days between February 1-11, known as the Ten-Day Fajr (dawn), various programs are held in Iran and elsewhere in the world to commemorate the great victory of the Islamic Revolution.
