Pakistan Halal Food Authority to Promote Halal Trade

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Science and Technology Rana Tanveer Hussain on Monday said that Pakistan Halal Food Authority will soon be established to promote trade in halal food.

Addressing a function in Lahore, he said a bill in this regard has already been passed by the parliament, the Daily Pakistan reported.

The minister said Halal Food processing in the country will help earn precious foreign exchange to strengthen national economy.

He said besides halal food, the government will also ensure halal cosmetics in the country.

He added that the world has also acknowledged that Halal food is good for human health.

Pakistan Halal Food Authority to Promote Halal Trade

With a booming Muslim population, the global halal industry has seen a rapid growth in recent years.

Many countries, both Muslim and non-Muslim, have been planning to develop their Halal industry and trade to benefit from the growing market.
