Seyyed Hassan Esmati, Iranian cultural attaché in Senegal, told IQNA that the two-day program is the first Quranic scientific conference to be organized by the Iranian Cultural Center in Western Africa.
The Islamic Institute of Dakar will cooperate in holding the conference, which will be attended by high-ranking Senegalese officials and representatives of different Islamic schools of thought.
14 Iranian and Senegalese scholars will present speeches in the program in Arabic and French.
Movie "Mohammad (PBUH), the Messenger of God” by Iranian director Majid Majidi will be screened at the opening ceremony of the conference to highlight the status of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as the pivot of the Islamic unity.
90 Senegalese high school students, 80 university students and 50 women representing cultural institutes of Senegal will also participate in the conference.
Khosh Manesh, Iranian teacher of Tehran University and Khadim Seela, religious affairs advisor in Senegal will respectively chair the first and second sessions of the program.
