23 Qaris and several Quran memorizers from different cities, including Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Makhachkala, Ufa, Grozny, and Sochi took part in the competition, the Caucasus Cultural Center reported.
It was held in the two categories of memorization of the Quran and recitation.
The contestants in recitation were scored out of 100 based on their mastery in Lahn, voice, and Waqf in recitation.
The memorizers competed in the afternoon reciting verses of the Quran from memory.
