Iranian Qari to Recite Surah Isra at Malaysia Quran Contest
According to the draw, Seyed Mostafa Hosseini will perform his recitation at 10:45 P.M. local time tonight.
He will start by reciting verse 9 of Surah Isra (the 17th Surah of the Quran) and continue his recitation for ten minutes.
According to IQNA dispatches, Hosseini is expected to do his recitation with Egyptian Quran master Minshawi’s style.
The 58th edition of Malaysia’s Quran contest, officially named "International Al Quran Recital and Memorisation Assembly”, kicked off in Kuala Lumpur on Monday night.
Some 120 Quran reciters and memorizers from 69 countries are attending the competition.
A 16-strong panel of judges comprising Quran experts from Lebanon, Qatar, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Indonesia, Egypt, Thailand and Malaysia evaluate the performance of the contenders to select the top ones.
