Suicide Attack in Iraq’s Najaf Leaves Several Dead, Injured
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Two suicide bombers blew themselves up in al-Qadisiya district in the holy city of Najaf, Iraq, leaving a number of people dead or wounded.
According to al-Sumaria news, the two terrorists, wearing suicide belts, got into clashes with security forces in the district and after getting off their vehicle started shooting at people indiscriminately, security sources said.
They then detonated their explosive belts, the sources added.
Security forces have cordoned off the scene in the southern district of Najaf.
The wounded have been transferred to the city’s al-Manazira hospital.
No group has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack.
