According to Qaaf news agency, during the three-day festival, 50 Quranic sessions will be held in different parts of the province.
Top Iraqi Qaris as well as Quran memorizers and reciters from 20 countries will take part in the international event.
The teenage Quran activists, who have participated in "Amir-ol-Qurra” national Quranic plan in Iraq, will also attend the festival.
Saeed ibn Jubayr also known as Abū Muhammad, was originally from Kufa, in modern-day Iraq. He was regarded as one of the leading members of the Tabi'in (d. ca. 712). He is held in the highest esteem by Shia and Sunni scholars and was considered one of the leading jurists of the time.
He was one of the companions of Imam Sajjad (AS) and a Quran memorizer, reciter and interpreter. Saeed was killed by Hajjaj ibn Yusuf Thaqafi, the wicked and cruel governor of Hijaz at the time.
