Quran Memorization Competition Held in Iraq’s Nineveh
The participants included men, women, youth and the elderly, all expressing their happiness at taking part in the competition, Iraq News reported.
This event reflects the deep connection of the people of Nineveh with the Quran and their love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
It is held in written form and in the form of multiple-choice questions.
The competition will continue for a month, according to the organizers.
At the end of the competition, the participants will be honored with valuable gifts and prizes awarded by the Iraqi Sunni Awqaf Department.
Previously, the Shia Endowments Department of Nineveh Province had held a "Quran Week" in this province with the presence of Iraqi reciters.
It was an event that, according to experts, is an opportunity to identify outstanding talents in Quran recitation and calling for prayer.
