Hamid Samadi, an official with the Khorasan Razavi province’s culture and Islamic guidance department, the organizer of the event, told IQNA that the exhibition starts on Saturday evening but the official opening ceremony will be on Sunday.
He added that a number of cultural and Quranic officials, including Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Heshmati, the Culture Ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy, will attend the ceremony.
He said Hamed Alizadeh, an Iranian Qari from Mashhad who came first in Malaysia’s international Quran competition last month, will be honored at the opening event.
Alizadeh managed to score 89.96 out of 100, winning the top title in the recitation category of Malaysia’s 59th international Quran contest.
