Contest Planned to Select Best Quran Recitation Voice in Egypt
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Egypt’s Awqaf Ministry plans to organize a competition on Quran recitation, Ibtihal and poetry reading.
According to youm7.com, Mohammed Mukhtar Guma, Egyptian minister of Awqf, said that given the importance of beautifully reciting the Quran and religious and national choral songs, the ministry plans to hold the competition to identify talented and beautiful voices.
Everyone who is interested and qualified can participate in the competition but the priority is with the children of the ministry’s members and staff.
The participants should send a 3 to 5 minute-audio file of their recitation to the website of the ministry.
Egypt has introduced some of the most prominent Quran reciters to the Muslim world whose beautiful recitations have been praised worldwide.
