TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 4th international conference titled “For the Sake of Justice for Palestine” got underway in the Lebanese capital of Beirut on Sunday.

According to al-Mayadeen TV network, 500 guests from different countries are present at the international event.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Theodosios (Hanna) of Sebastia, the Archbishop of Sebastia from the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Quds (Jerusalem), said Quds is currently under attacks by some who seek to separate from its Arabic-Islamic identity.

Describing Quds as the everlasting capital of the Palestinian nation, he underlined that attacking al-Aqsa Mosque is an attack on both Muslims and Christians.

He further referred to the idea of the so-called “deal of the century” raised by US President Donald Trump and said it will get nowhere.

Sheikh Akrama Sabri, the Mufti of Quds, also addressed the ceremony, slamming the new racist law passed by the Zionist regime’s Knesset.

He stressed that Palestinians will not give up an inch of the land of Quds, adding that unity among Arab countries will help Palestinians in defending the cause of Palestine.
