Photos of Iraqi Mus’haf on Display at Tehran Int’l Quran Expo

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Photos of the handwritten Mus’haf of Iraq is among the items on show at the pavilion of the Arab country’s cultural center in the 27th Tehran International Quran Exhibition.

Seyed Hussein Ali Muhammad al-Hassani, head of specialized library of Iraq’s National Quran Sciences Center who is also an official of the pavilion, told IQNA that calligraphy of the Mus’haf began in 2010 by prominent Iraqi calligrapher Hadi al-Duraji and it was unveiled in a ceremony in Baghdad in 2018.

He said the Iraqi National Quran Sciences Center plans to print it in Tehran or London.

As for other data-x-items at the pavilion, al-Hassani said three historical mosques of Iraq have been introduced in posters.

The posters contain information on the grand mosques of Basra and Samarra and the Sahla Mosque in Kufa.

There are also photos of Quranic programs, Arbaeen pilgrimage, and congregational prayers of Shia and Sunni fighters who defeated Daesh, he went on to say.

The 27^th Tehran International Quran Exhibition is underway at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall).

It will be open to public until May 24 with the motto of “Quran, Meaning of Life”.
