The competition was held for men in Iran’s holy city of Qom from February 9 to 14.
The contenders competed in several age groups in various categories, including Tahqiq and Tarteel recitation and memorization of the Quran.
This year’s competition was named after Martyr Qassem Soleimani, who was assassinated last month by US forces in Iraq.
The women’s section of the competition kicked off on January 23 with the participation of 5600 Quran activists and winners were announced on January 30.
