Delivering a speech in Beirut on Friday, Nasrallah congratulated the advent of the holy month of Ramadan to all Muslims.
He said among the virtues that are strengthened by fasting during the holy month are patience, fortitude, and good behavior.
Fortitude is among the signs of men of God and the faithful, the Hezbollah chief said, adding that it is necessary to pass through sins, calamities, illnesses, wars and hardships in life, al-Manar TV reported.
He stressed, however, that in some cases, such as in the face of vice, corruption and occupation, exercising fortitude and remaining silent is not allowed.
Nasrallah further highlighted the transience of life in this world and said if one realizes this, it will give him or her the strength to persevere and overcome difficulties.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar in which Muslim all around the world fast from dawn to sunset.
