Iranian Qari’s Recitation in Last Year’s Hajj
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Hojat-ol-Islam Mehdi Shoja was the head of Iran’s Noor (light) Quranic Convoy in last year’s Hajj.
The following footage shows his recitation of verses from Surah al-Ahzab during the 2019 Hajj.
Every year millions of Muslims from around the world gather in the holy city of Mecca for the annual Hajj.
Iran also sends pilgrims as well as a groups of Quran activists, known as the Noor Convoy.
The members of the delegation hold Quranic programs, including Quran recitation sessions, for the Hajj pilgrims.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Hajj is limited to about 1,000 pilgrims, all from inside Saudi Arabia, about 700 of whom are expatriates.
