President of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) Int’l University Visits IQNA

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Hojat-ol-Islam Sa’eed Jazari Ma’mou’i, the president of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) International University, visited the Iranian Academics’ Quranic Organization and International Quran News Agency on Saturday.

 

Accompanied by Mohammad Hussein Hassani, head of the organization and managing director of IQNA, the academic figure toured various sections of the organization and news agency and learned about their activities.

He stressed the importance of mainstreaming Quranic studies in different countries and in different languages.

Introduction of academic Quranic schools abroad, identification of foreign Quran researchers and introduction of their works and holding educational courses on Quranic journalism for foreign students of the university were among the themes discussed during the visit.

The officials also stressed media interaction between the news agency and the university to cover the news of the academic center which has 450 students from 11 countries who study in 10 different fields.

Established in 2002, the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) International University is affiliated to the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly, an international non-governmental organization based in Tehran.

The university aims to explicate and comprehend the Holy Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt’s principles, revive and spread the Islamic civilization and heritage of the infallible Imams and accommodate the scientific, research and expertise’ needs of Muslims around the world.
