According to alnilin.com, several mosques in the capital host the Quranic program, in which a number of Qaris recite the Quran.
It is held with the participation of a large number of people including teenagers, the youth and elderly.
Ahmad Ali Abdul Rahman, custodian of a mosque in Khartoum, said that the decision to hold the Quranic sessions was made after a Quran recitation by Famous Sudanese Qari Sheikh Al-Zain, following the evening congregational prayers, attracted many people of the region at the mosque despite the coronavirus pandemic.
He added that Mahmoud Mohammad Mahmoud, a businessman, has decided to financially support the nightly Quran recitation sessions at mosques in Khartoum and other cities which holds such programs.
The custodian of the mosque said that those who help organizing Quranic programs will receive divine mercy and rewards in the Hereafter.
