TEHRAN (IQNA) – The office in charge of the affairs of the Grand Mosques in Mecca and Medina has organized a competition on memorization of the Quran and Nabawi Hadiths for the students of the faculties affiliated to the two Grand Mosques.

According to al-Yaum.com, the competition started with a ceremony attended by Abdul Rahman ibn Abdul Aziz Al-Seddis, head of the office.

He said that the objective of the competition is to encourage the girls and boys to get more acquainted with Quranic and Nabawi teachings.

Such contests are effective in raising a new generation of memorizers of Quran and Hadiths and promoting the ability to understand and act upon these teachings.

He added that memorization of Quranic verses and Hadiths also helps the students in their scientific growth.
