TEHRAN (IQNA) – An Egyptian university student has taken advantage of his spare time during the COVID-19 pandemic to write down verses of Quran.

According to Ahl Masr News, Ahmad Nabavi lives in a rural area near the city of Ashmun in Egypt’s Menofia Governorate. As the pandemic led to the shutdown of universities, Ahmad used this opportunity to pen Quran with his art of calligraphy. He studies engineering in Menofia university.

“It is an honor to pen words of Quran with my handwriting, and I hope Quran will come to my help in the Day of Judgement,” he said.

He has already finished writing of Ayatul Kursi and Al-Mulk Surah.

It took 343 hours to finish Ayatul Kursi, he said, adding that al-Mulk Surah project took nearly 400 hours.
