Tanzania to Host Exhibition on Islamic Hijab

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An exhibition on Islamic hijab is set to be held in Tanzania soon with the aim of showcasing the culture of Islamic clothing.

Iranian Cultural Attaché to Tanzania Morteza Pirani held a meeting with the Qatari Ambassador to Tanzania Hussain Ahmad Al-Homaid in Dar es Salaam.

The Iranian envoy discussed cultural and religious cooperation with the Qatari ambassador, also raising the issue of hijab exhibition in the country. “The exhibition aims to put the culture of Islamic clothing on display and is being staged in different Islamic states.”

The event will also include paintings of Tanzanian artists related to hijab, Pirani said, adding, “We can build cooperation with other active embassies in Tanzania through implementing religious and cultural programs and realization of these plans can lead to unity among Muslims.”

He also invited the Qatari embassy to take part in cultural programs.

For his part, Hussain Ahmad Al-Homaid welcomed establishing cooperation with the Iranian cultural center.
