Registration Begins for Iranian Center’s Nationwide Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Imam Ali (AS) Dar-ol-Quran Center said registration for the center’s 15th nationwide Quran competition will begin later this month.

Sommayeh Hajali, director of the center, told IQNA that those willing to take part in the Quranic event can sign up by referring to the website dqimamali.com fro, November 22 to December 1.

She said the competition will be held for men in two age groups of below and above 16 and for women in two age groups of below and above 26.

Tahqiq and Tarteel recitation and memorization of the Quran are the categories of the annual Quran event, she noted, adding that this year’s edition will have a new category, namely Quranic concepts.

According to Hajali, the preliminary round of the competition is slated for mid-December, and the final stage will be organized in January.

She went on to say that winners of top ranks in different categories will receive cash prizes.
