In a statement sent to Parliament Speaker Abdul Karim Al-Daghmi, more than 70 MPs said, "We, the signatories, condemn and deplore the decision of the British Home Secretary considering Hamas a terrorist organization."
"We consider this British decision an aggression on the Palestinian people and the Arab nation."
They went on to describe the UK's decision as a "reward to the Zionist occupation which has been killing Palestinians, occupying their land and blockading Gaza."
"This decision is an extension to the Balfour Declaration," they said.
Concluding their statement, the Jordanian MPs called for the UK government to backtrack on this decision which they consider a "flagrant violation of international law."
