Registration for Al-Kawthar TV Int'l Quran Contest Kicks Off

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Al-Kawthat TV Channel announced the start of the registration of participants in the 15th edition of its international Quran competition.

 

Titled “Inna lil-Muttaqina Mafaza” (Indeed, for the righteous is attainment- Holy Quran, 78:31), the recitation contest is scheduled to start on the first night of Ramadan.

Those interested in participating in the event can fill out the required forms here or contact the secretariat of the competition via WhatsApp, Facebook, and Telegram with the number +989108994025.

Participants are required to send a 2-minutes recitation.

After going through assessments, 96 selected works in the preliminary stage will be aired from Al-Kawthar TV from the first to the 24th night of Ramadan.

Abbas Razavi, an official with the TV Channel, says the process of registration is open till March 18.

He also noted that the panel of arbiters consists of top experts from Arab and Islamic countries.

Al-Kawthar TV is an Arabic-language channel within the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting’s World Service.

Ninety-six qaris from countries like Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Indonesia, Turkey, Bahrain, Afghanistan, Germany and France took part in last year’s competition. Qaris from Iraq, Iran, and Indonesia claimed the top three awards respectively.
