During the three-hour tours of the council and the center, the foreign Quran experts learned about their activities.
Member of the council Mohammad Taqi Mirzajani and officials of the center Hamid Reza Mostafid and Karim Dolati also briefed them on missions of the two Quranic bodies and different aspects of printing and publication of the Quran.
Speaking during the visit, Jordanian Quran expert Samih Ahmed Khalid al-Athamina hailed the quality of Quranic activities in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He described the efforts and the attention paid to Quranic activities in Iran as unique in the Muslim world and described the country’s international Quran contest as the “mother” of Quran competitions in the world.
Muhammad Ali Atfay from Morocco, Abrar Hussain from Pakistan, and Mahdi al-Ameri from Iraq were other members of the competition’s panel of judges who, during the visits, hailed Iran’s Quranic activities.
The final stage of the 38th international Quran competition of Iran kicked off on Monday and came to end with an awarding ceremony on Saturday evening.
A total of 62 qaris and memorizers from 29 countries competed in this stage of the event, which was held virtually.
Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization holds the competition annually with the participation of Quran reciters and memorizers from various countries.
