The motto of this year’s international Quranic event, which concluded on Saturday evening, was “One Book, One Ummah (community)”.

Speaking to IQNA, Bilqays Harb Jafar, who served as a member of panel of arbiters in the women section of the contest, said this slogan summarizes the competition’s main objective, which is enhancing Islamic unity.

Bilqays, who is a graduate of Al-Musafa International University, said she had attended the competition as a contender in the category of memorization of the entire Quran seven years ago.

“Since four years ago, I have been invited to serve as a member of the panel of judges in the field of Waqf and Ibtida (stop and resumption),” she noted.
