The 38th edition of Iran’s international Quran competition as well as international contests for women, visually impaired, and school students wrapped up on Saturday in Tehran after winners of each category received their awards.

The panel of arbiters, comprised of experts from Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Jordan, and Morocco issued a statement at the end of the event.

It started the statement with verse 92 of Surah Al-Anbya which reads “[O prophets!] Indeed, this religion of yours is [only] one, and I am your Lord, so worship Me [alone].”

The message of Quranic experts of the Islamic Ummah in the competitions is that of peace unity by clinging on to the Holy Quran as the unifying element, read the statements.

“One should hail the high-quality level of recitations in this edition and thank God for it,” it noted, adding that the ground should be paved for promoting the Quran in the young generation across the world so as to build a “Quranic Ummah Wahida”.

The panel also appreciated the efforts of the organizers of this competition as well as the media for covering the event.
