Int’l Conference on Mahdism to Be Held in Qom
According to Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Saber Jafari, secretary of the 17th International Conference on Mahdaviat Doctrine, the event will start at 8 AM local time in Jamkaran mosque with a video message by Ayatollah Javadi Amoli.
Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, Director of Islamic Seminaries, will deliver a speech at the event, he added.
A total of 120 articles have been received by the secretariat of the conference, he said, adding that the top 16 papers will be presented in the event and that all the abstracts will be published in a book.
“Expectation of Mahdi, the first step and Master Plan of divine leaders” has been named the main theme of the conference.
Mahdism refers to the belief that the last Shia Imam, Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent), will reappear at the end of time and spread justice in the world.
