‘Ya Qa’im Al Muhammad’ Flag Raised on Dome of Imam Ali (AS) Holy Shrine
TEHRAN (IQNA) – On the eve of birthday of Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent), the “Ya Qa’im Al Muhammad’ flag was raised on the dome of the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf, Iraq.
The mausoleum has also been decorated with flowers and banners ahead of the auspicious occasion, the website of the Astan (custodianship) of the shrine reported.
Meanwhile pilgrims continue to arrive in the holy city to attend celebration marking the birthday of the twelfth Imam (AS).
The 15th day of the lunar Hijri month of Sha’aban, which falls on Friday, March 18, this year, marks the birthday of Imam Zaman.
Every year, millions of Shia Muslims around the world hold festivities to honor the event.
According to Islamic teachings, Imam Zaman is the prophesied redeemer, who will revive peace, administer justice and rid the world of evil.
