TEHRAN (IQNA) – An exhibition featuring different aspects of the Quran printing industry has been mounted in the city of Abha, southwest Saudi Arabia.

According to the SPA news agency, it also showcases the activities of the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran.

Visitors learn about the stages of Quran printing at the complex and the distribution of the printed copies.

There are also manuscript copies of the Holy Book and new technologies used in Quran printing on display at the expo.  

The Islamic Affairs Department of the Asir region, launched the Quranic exhibition on Thursday. It will run for ten days. 

The King Fahd Holy Quran Printing Complex, which is based in the holy city of Medina, has published Quran translations in 40 different languages.

The Quran printing complex produces about 10 million copies of the Holy Book a year.
