Quranic Exhibition underway in Iraq’s Karbala

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quranic exhibition dubbed Khatam Al-Anbya (the last messenger of God) was launched in a ceremony at Bain-ul-Haramain in Karbala, Iraq.

The Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine has organized the expo, according to the website of the Astan.

Bain-ul-Haramain is an area between the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala.

The exhibition was launched on Saturday and will run for three days.

The ceremony started with recitation of Quran by Iraqi qari Maytham al-Tammar and was addressed by Sheikh Khairuddin al-Hadi, head of the Astan’s Dar-ol-Quran Center.

According to Karrar al-Hashemi, head of center’s media affairs department, the exhibition features various Quranic programs and activities.

He said top qaris from Iraq and other parts of the Muslim world are expected to visit the expo.

There will be a workshop on Arabic calligraphy with the participation of prominent Iraqi calligraphers, a painting workshop for children titled “Quranic Kid”, and a special section for women. Al-Hashemi stated.

Also a book signing ceremony will be held at the exhibition for three Quranic books by Sheikh Khairuddin al-Hadi, Sayed Mortada Jamaleddin and Sayed Badri al-A’araji, he went on to say.
