TEHRAN (IQNA) – The registration will close today for participation in the 27th session of the Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Holy Quran Competition in Qatar.

Registration for Quran Contest in Qatar to End Today

In a statement, the organizing committee of the competition urged those wishing to participate to quickly register on the last day of this stage, at the Imam Mohammed bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque in Doha during the morning period (8 am - 12:30 pm) and in the evening (4 pm to 8 pm), noting that the number of registered participants in the two branches of the competition totaled to about 1,300 contestants.

The organizing committee is keen to attract the largest number of citizens and residents to participate in this competition, as it has allocated valuable financial rewards to all winners (categories and children).

The categories branch targets the participation of citizens (male and female) who memorize the Holy Quran in categories (5), (10), (15), (20), (25) the first or last part of the Holy Quran.

Contestants in the categories (male and female) have the right to repeat the same category in which they won in the previous sessions, or to participate in a category higher than it, and those who have been absent from the competition for three years or more are entitled to participate in one category lower than the highest level they won.

Meanwhile, males and females, citizens and residents, compete in the children category by memorizing one part of the last five parts of the Holy Quran.

The contestant within the children category must be a citizen or resident of Qatar and must be 12 years old or under for citizens, and 8 years and under for residents. Participants are required to bring a copy of their ID card and a recent photo (for males).

As for the conditions for residents, those who participated in a part are not entitled to participate in the same part, and they are entitled to participate in another part of the last five parts of the Holy Quran.

The tests are scheduled to start on Saturday, September 10, 2022, according to the detailed schedule that will be announced later.

The venue for testing for males will be at the Imam Mohammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque, while the venue for females is at the headquarters of the Women's Memorization Division in the Al-Waab area.
