The organizing committee of the Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Holy Quran competition, affiliated to Qatar’s Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry organized the course.
A number of Qatari scholars and experts contributed to the course, Al-Sharq daily reported.
It also included forums held at the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque in the Qatari capital.
The Russian Quran teachers appreciated Qatar’s efforts to promote the Quran and Quranic teachings.
They said the course has helped them improve their teaching skills, Quranic skills and mastery over the rules of Tajweed and reading and contemplating the Quran.
The teachers were from different provinces of Russia, including Moscow, Mordovia and Saratov.
The Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Holy Quran Competition is annually organized in Doha by the Qatari Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
