TEHRAN (IQNA) – A senior Lebanese scholar condemned certain Arab regimes for normalizing ties with the Israeli regime, saying their concessions to the Zionists has no strategic value.

Sheikh Maher Hammoud

Secretary General of the International Union of Resistance Scholars Sheikh Maher Hammoud said such regimes have been installed by the US and the UK in the region to serve the colonialist Zionist project.

He said however that their moves will not change any reality as Palestinians will continue to defend their lands and their sanctities.

He added that all Arab nations will keep supporting the cause of Palestine, Palestine Today reported.

Hamoud also noted that the Axis of Resistance continues backing the Palestinian struggle despite all the pressures of the arrogant powers.

The senior cleric further hailed the bravery of Palestinians defending Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem al-Quds against the occupation forces.

His comments comes as Israeli forces have recently been conducting overnight raids and killings in al-Quds and the occupied West Bank.

More than 150 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the Israeli-occupied territories since the start of the year, including 51 in the besieged Gaza Strip during Israel’s three-day onslaught in August.
