Twitter Users Fascinated by Sound of Adhan Played during England Team Training in Qatar

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Many Twitter users fell in love with the beautiful sound of Adhan (call to prayer) after a post shared by Times chief football writer Henry Winter showing England team training during the Adhan went viral.

Adhan is the call to announce that it is time for a particular obligatory Salah (ritual prayer).

The post went viral with more than 7000 likes and 1000 retweets. Many of Winter’s followers shared fascination with the beautiful sound of Adhan.

Interestingly, Henry Winter is the brother of Skeikh Abdal Hakim Murad, the dean of the Cambridge Muslim College.

Abdal Hakim, formerly Timothy John Winter, is an English academic, theologian and Islamic scholar who became Muslim in 1979.

A few hours before the launch of World Cup 2022, Qatar launched several initiatives to introduce Islam to visitors during the international tournament.

For example, new QR codes were added in Qatar hotels guest-rooms that introduce visitors to Islam and Qatari culture in all languages.

Qatar also placed several murals across the country with hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to introduce Islam to incoming World Cup fans.
