TEHRAN (IQNA) – The pavilion of Saudi Arabia’s Islamic affairs ministry handed out 30,000 copies of the Holy Quran among visitors at the Cairo International Book Fair.

The pavilion gifted the copies at the 54th edition of the expo that kicked off in the Egyptian on January 24, al-Bilad website reported.

They have been printed in the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran, which is located in the holy city of Medina.

Part of the pavilion features the books and activities of the printing complex.

The Quran printing complex produces about 10 million copies of the Holy Book a year. It has published 55 different translations of the Quran in nearly 40 languages.

The Cairo International Book Fair is the largest and oldest book fair in the Arab world, held every year in the last week of January in Cairo, Egypt.

It is organized by the General Egyptian Book Organization. The Fair is considered the most important event in the Arabic publishing world.

This edition of the book fair will run until Monday, February 6.
