TEHRAN (IQNA) – Seven students of halal sciences from Brunei participate in the Osaka University International Certificate Program.

Halal Science Students from Brunei to Take Part in Japan Int’l Study Program

 

The students from Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) left for Osaka, Japan, earlier this week.

They are postgraduates majoring in Master of Halal Science at the Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre, UNISSA.

The program will run for two months at the Suita Campus, Osaka University.

The seven students are the third group to join the program since it was offered in 2020.

Students also received scholarships from Osaka University and the Japan Student Services Organization.

Osaka University is one of the most prestigious universities and ranks in the top three among universities in Japan. Their reputation shows their initiative to offer programs for foreign students by introducing programs under Osaka University ASEAN Campuses such as The Osaka University International Certificate Program.

The opportunity for students aims to improve their academic performance and also stand out in halal research and further increase the employability of students in the rapidly growing halal industry.

UNISSA’s Halalan Thayyiban Research Centre Director Pengiran Dr Hajah Norkhairiah binti Pengiran Haji Hashim was present at the Brunei International Airport to see the students off along with other academic staff.
