After coordination with the Islamic Affairs Department in the Sharjah government, the meeting was organized by Al Suyoh Suburb Council of the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department on Wednesday evening at its headquarters, aiming to honor the imams of mosques in Al Suyoh, praising them for their distinguished efforts.
The meeting was attended by Youssef Obaid Harmoul Al Shamsi, Chairman of Al Suyoh Suburb Council, Harib Muhammad Harib Al Rumaithi, Vice Chairman, members and imams, and a group of invitees.
During delivering his speech, Youssef Al Shamsi welcomed the attendees, lauding mosques’ imams for their active and affective role in motivating people to do all kinds of ibadas (acts of worship) during Ramadan. He also extended appreciation to Islamic Affairs Department, lauding their support in all areas, under the guidance of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
After that, the council’s Chairman and members honored 32 imams for their efforts to revive the nights of the blessed month of Ramadan.
