Canada Police Make Arrest following Hamilton Mosque Break

OTTAWA (IQNA) – Police in Canada's Hamilton have arrested a man following a break-and-enter at a mosque.

 

A 51-year-old man has been arrested following a break-and-enter that occurred at the Ibrahim mosque in Hamilton on June 28.

Hamilton police say they arrested Sean Wood in connection with the incident upon receiving information from a member of the community.

Police say the mosque was not damaged.

The accused, a resident of Hamilton, is currently in police custody and is facing two charges of break-and-enter.

The charges have not been tested in court.

“Hamilton Police Service remains dedicated to serving and protecting the community, ensuring that all places of worship are safe and secure for everyone,” police said in a statement.
