He is competing in the second edition of the international event, named “Best of the Best”, in the Qatari capital of Doha.
Born in 1990 in Tehran, Norouzi has won prizes in a number of international Quran competitions.
They include the top prize in Indonesia’s international Quran contest and the third rank in the international Quran award of Tunisia.
He has also came first in the international Quran competition for Islamic seminary students.
The second edition of the “Best of the Best” Quranic event got underway in Doha on Wednesday, with the participation of tens of top Quran memorizers and reciters from different countries.

It is the international section of the Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad Al Thani Quran contest, organized by Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
The participants compete in different categories featuring Quran memorization, Tajweed, Tarteel and meaning of the words of the Quran.
The panel of judges includes senior experts in Quran memorization, recitation and Tajweed.
They will judge the performance of the contenders based on strict criteria before announcing the top winners.
Promoting the teachings of the Quran and enhancing the younger generation’s bond with the Holy Book are among the objectives of the contest.
