Sheikh Hussein Muhammad Qassim, president of the Council of Palestinian Scholars in Lebanon, made the remark in an interview with IQNA.
He referred to the history and philosophy of the creation of the fake Israeli regime and said the Western powers formed the regime to ensure the interests of the Zionists.
He said they sought to see the rise of leaders in the region who attach no importance to the issue of Palestine and the Palestinian cause and only care about their own interests and their ties with the Western powers.
The attempts to convince regional countries to normalize ties with the Israeli regime are part of the same colonial plot whose aim is to dominate the West Asia region, Sheikh Qassim stated.
“However, I should emphasize that these attempts are not important for us, the Palestinian nation, as God is our supporter and helper.”
He referred to Verse 37 of Surah Al-Anfal of the Holy Quran, “That Allah might separate the impure from the good, and put the impure, some of it upon the other, and pile it up together, then cast it into hell; these it is that are the losers,” and said that on the issue of Palestine, the pure ones are after helping the Palestinian people while the impure ones are seeking normalization of ties with the Zionists.
He also highlighted the Palestinians’ resistance against the occupiers and their supporters over the decades, including their steadfast resistance in the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

He said this war, too, will end with the victory of the Palestinian nation.
The scholar condemned the Israeli regime’s massacre of women, children and other civilians in the Gaza Strip and said the Muslim Ummah and anyone who has a human conscience must condemn these atrocities and stand with the people of Palestine.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Sheikh Qassim referred to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s support for Palestine and said that since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini (RA) paid special attention to the cause of Palestine.
He also referred to the martyrdom of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a recent helicopter crash and said the tragic incident and the loss of the two steadfast supporters of Palestine deeply affected the Palestinian nation.
