IQNA – The Iranian Parliament Speaker has called on Muslim governments to show “practical” support for the Palestinian nation so as to stop Israeli crimes.

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf

“There is no limit to the crimes of the inhumane and criminal Zionist regime,” Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said on Sunday while addressing the Parliament.

“Attacking displaced Palestinians at Gaza’s al-Tabi’in school while people were performing dawn prayers once again proved that Zionists are a disgrace for humanity and only understand the language of force,” he added.

The Saturday attack by Israeli forces has killed at least 100 Palestinians who were taking refuge in the school, located in Gaza City.

“The recent crime of the Zionist regime is a crime against humanity, a crime of genocide, and a war crime, and the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns it,” Ghalibaf said.

“Muslim governments should bar the continuation of the Zionist killing machine by showing practical support for Palestinian nations’ resistance movements,” noted the senior lawmaker.

The Israeli aggression on Gaza since October last year has claimed the lives of more than 40,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

Echoing the remarks of Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Qalibaf said, “We consider revenge for the blood of Martyr Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated in our soil, as our religious and national duty.”

“The Zionist regime should await a harsh punishment by the Iranian nation,” he added.

Hanyieh was assassinated late last month in an Israeli attack. He was in Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
