The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques announced the statistics, Al-Watan website reported.
It noted that the number has increased by 25 million compared to a year earlier.
Some 11 million men and women worshippers prayed at Al Rawda Al Sharifa in the Prophet's Mosque in the said period, the general presidency stated.
This shows a 1.8 million rise compared to the number in 1444, it noted.
Al Rawda Al Sharifa is where the tomb of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him) is located at the mosque.
According to the presidency, 9 prayer leaders and 20 muezzins served at the mosque in 1445, and 52 sermons delivered there were translated into 10 languages.
There were 2,500 Quranic circles held at the mosque in this period, attended by some 50,000 men and women, the presidency went on to say.

It also noted that more than one million copies of the Holy Quran were distributed among worshippers and pilgrims visiting the mosque.
