Palestinian journalist Firas Abu Shurkh has documented the experiences of over 100 Quran memorizers in Gaza, despite the continued Israeli assaults on the city, Yeni Şafak reported.
He reports that more than 300 days after the beginning of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip and following numerous killings of civilians, Quran memorization centers and circles remain active in the region.
In his report, Abu Shurkh captures the activities of 100 male and female Quran memorizers in the city center of Khan Younis, who are engaged in teaching and memorizing the Quran.
The Israeli regime unleashed its genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, after Palestinian resistance movements launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood in response to increased Israeli violence against Palestinians.
The Israeli attacks have killed at least 40,786 people in Gaza, mostly women and children. More than 94,000 other Palestinians have been wounded, with more than 11,000 others missing as a result of the Israeli onslaught.
