Exam Planned to Select Qaris, Muezzins for Imam Reza Holy Shrine

IQNA – The Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Holy mausoleum of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad, northeast Iran, plans to hold an exam to choose qaris and muezzins serving at the shrine.

The center has issued a call for Quran reciters and muezzins to register for the exam. 

It will take place for two age groups of teenagers and young adults, according to the Dar-ol-Quran center. 

Those who wish to take the exam at the teenagers level must have won Quran competitions at least at the provincial level.

As for adults, having experiences in Quranic fields, including teaching the Quran, is among the requirements.

They must also have a high school diploma or a higher degree.

Those who meet the criteria can register for the exam no later than November 15.

Those selected will have the honor of reciting the Quran and Adhan (call to prayer) in different parts of the holy shrine.
