IQNA – The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said the IRGC forces have proven that Islam will never surrender to Kufr (disbelief).

IRGC Commander Major General Hossein Salami

Speaking at a ceremony held in Tehran to introduce the new president of Imam Hussein (AS) University, Major General Hossein Salami said the IRGC has shouldered a heavy responsibility, adding that a great part of the history of Islam in the contemporary era is being shaped by the strong will of the IRGC forces.

A fierce battle has taken place between Muslims and disbelievers since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, he said, adding that the world powers have sought to separate the Iranian nation from its identity but, thank God, they have failed.

He also referred to the resistance of the people of the Gaza Strip against the Zionist regime and said the women and children of Gaza are the one with the most belief in Islam as they show their faith in action.

The IRGC needs people like them who are faithful and can determine Islam’s destination in historical battle scenes, he stated, adding that the Imam Hussein (AS) University, which belongs to the IRGC, is the venue for training such people.
