IQNA – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said spread of insecurity and terrorism in the region will serve no country’s interests.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held phone talks on December 2, 2024.

All regional countries should play a role in combating terrorism and insecurity, he said, referring to the recent moves by terrorist groups in Syria.

He was speaking in a telephone conversation with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Monday.

Pezeshkian stressed that Iran wants a region where the territorial integrity of Islamic countries is preserved and all nations can live peacefully together.

To achieve this, the leaders of the regional countries should step forward to ensure security in the region before the aliens allow themselves to intervene, he stated.

The Iranian president also referred to the Israeli regime’s role in spreading insecurity and terrorism in the Muslim world and said Israel does not want Muslim nations to live in peace and that necessitates unity and convergence in the Muslim Ummah.
