Quran-Centered Itikaf Rituals Planned for Int’l Students of Al-Mustafa University

These programs, centered on strengthening ties with the Quran and fostering spiritual development, have drawn significant participation from students.

"In Iran, more than 1,000 male and female seminary students have registered for the I'tikaf events, which will be held in prominent mosques such as the Imam Hassan Askari Mosque, Jamkaran Mosque, and Imam Kazim Mosque," Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Saleh, said on Sunday.

Similar events are planned in cities such as Mashhad, Isfahan, Tabriz, and Gorgan, specifically designed for international students.

Saleh emphasized that the core focus of the retreats is building a deeper connection with the Quran. Participants will engage in daily Quran recitations, participate in group Quran completion sessions. "Every evening, there will also be Quranic recitation sessions featuring international reciters," he added.

"The programs also promote a spirit of prayer and supplication, with public ethical lectures delivered by renowned scholars and knowledge-sharing circles," Saleh explained.

To further enrich the experience, two cultural competitions focused on the lives of Imam Ali (PBUH) and Lady Zainab (PBUH) will be held. Prizes will be awarded to the winners, encouraging participants to explore these significant historical figures' teachings and values, Saleh added.

Itikaf is a tradition of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his family, and is regarded as a highly rewarding act of worship in Islam.
