The post, which has circulated across various platforms, is attributed to a user known as “Lyan Liu.” Jakim, in a statement dated April 18, described the content as promoting hate speech, incitement, and religious provocation, Malay Mail reported on Monday.
In its official release, Jakim stated: “The statement posted by the individual contains extreme defamation against religion and race, which is clearly in contradiction with the principles of harmony between races and religions that have long been preserved in the country.”
The department pointed to the need to respect the boundaries of freedom of expression, noting that such freedoms should not be used as a pretext to stoke religious or racial tensions.
Jakim also urged the public to remain calm and not respond emotionally to the situation.

It stressed that the appropriate response should come through legal and regulatory channels, encouraging all parties to allow the authorities to address the matter in accordance with the law.
