Quranic activists and figures from the two sides attended the meeting in the city of Zubair in Basra on Thursday, May 1.
It was also attended by Shia and Sunni scholars and officials of Bara.
Some of the activists were honored at the event for their services to the Hoy Quran and promoting the Quranic culture.
The meeting was organized in line with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the office of the representative of the Leader of Islamic Revolution in Khuzestan and the Quranic society in Basra.
The MoU was in March this year with the aim of development of Quranic relations between the two provinces and promotion and dissemination of the teachings of the Quran and the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).
The memorandum of understanding is in 12 clauses with the topics of holding Quranic conferences, expanding Quranic activities, holding various educational courses, exchanging teachers and educators of Khuzestan and Basra in cultural, Quranic, scientific and research fields.
