Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Abdol Fattah Navab made the remark in a meeting of the Cultural and Educational Committee of Arbaeen in Tehran on Tuesday.
He noted that in a message, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to Nahj al-Balgha.
Nahj al-Balagha is a collection of sermons, letters and sayings left as a memorial from the Imam Ali (AS). The book was compiled by Sayed Radhi over a thousand years ago.
Hojat-ol-Islam Navab said the beginning of the movement that led to the Arbaeen march was Imam Ali’s (AS) martyrdom.
So there should be some special planning for using Nahj al-Balagha in this year’s Arbaeen march, he went on to say.
“Inspired by the teachings of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, we can extract lifestyle and spirituality from Nahj al-Balagha and use it to alleviate the psychological ills of society,” he stated.
We can't go into all of these things in the Journey of Forty, but two things -- "morality" and "lifestyle" –
Spirituality, morality and lifestyle are especially important in the Arbaeen pilgrimage, Hojat-ol-Islam Navab emphasized.
He said most families attending the procession usually observe these things, but some may not notice this.
“However, they have a basis for accepting it (the spiritual and moral norm). This is where we should take the opportunity and, inspired by the call of Imam Sajjad (AS), address their shortcomings.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, the official underscored the importance of serving Arbaeen pilgrims with love and pure intention.
